Professional Development for Teachers

Teaching STEM through Storytelling and Game Design

Visit Conundrum Escapes to enhance your STEM teaching! During this interactive training session, you will learn:

  • How storytelling and game design can be leveraged for STEM learning
  • How to teach game design without coding or computers
  • How games can tell stories, shape identity, and inspire change
  • How escape room games can support your teaching

You’ll play an escape room and leave with lesson plans that can be tailored to your classroom. All participants will receive a certificate of completion for CEU/PGU credits. This training is suitable for educators of all grade levels.

Your facilitator will be Dr. Christy Byrd, co-owner of Conundrum Escapes and an associate professor of educational psychology in the Department of Teacher Education and Learning Sciences at NC State University. Contact her at christy_byrd@ncsu.edu.
